Micro-Needling Post-Procedure Care

Micro-needling has fantastic benefits and helps keep your skin beautiful. However, just like any procedure, there are some post-procedure aftercare instructions that you need to follow to get the best results. After micro-needling, you cannot go back to the regular skin care procedures you are used to because your skin has micro-channels in it that may create the appearance of a moderate sunburn. Your skin will feel warmer and tighter compared to before the procedure, but the good thing is that all of these effects are quite normal and resolve completely after about two days or so. To get the best results, it is typically vital to adhere to the instructions discussed below.

Cleaning your face

When washing your face, use a mild cleanser and lukewarm water for the first 72 hours after the procedure. After rinsing your face, gently dry it, but make sure your hands are clean. Do not use any powder cleansing agents for at least one week after the procedure.

Promoting healing of the skin

Use antioxidant serums on your skin as they have properties that help your skin heal by soothing the skin and decreasing irritation. After the procedure, the skin starts to rejuvenate, thus, increasing the demand for collagen. It is advisable to take collagen stimulating peptides to increase the amount of collagen available for skin regeneration.

Hydrate

After your micro-needling treatment, your skin feels drier than usual. Drink a lot of water after the procedure and in the coming days to stay as hydrated as possible and to help your skin to rejuvenate faster.

At Pacific Vein Care, we not only care for you when you come for the procedure. Our team of skilled professionals will guide you regarding all the things you need to do after your micro-needling procedure so that you can get the results you were hoping for without any complications post-procedure. We are just a call away and will answer any questions you might have about the procedure. Contact us today to book a consultation at our office in McHenry!
