Good Candidates for Compression Therapy

Optimal blood flow in the veins has many benefits. It can reduce inflammation, reduce swelling, and facilitate motion. If it is sub-optimal, it can cause many problems including swelling and pain. Thanks to compression therapy, you can help your veins. This treatment can use stockings, bandages, socks, or tight leggings. Some of the people who can benefit from compression therapy are:

Venous Leg Ulcers Patients

Increasing circulation and supporting your veins can prevent edema and swelling. Healing leg ulcers can be a challenge because low venous flow reduces nutrients from reaching the furthest part of your body, limbs. If you are a venous leg ulcer patient, you can benefit from compression tights that facilitate circulation and nutritional transfer. When your cells get enough nutrients, they will reproduce rapidly encouraging repair of the tissues.

If You Need Varicose Vein Treatment

Certain chronic venous diseases such as deep vein thrombosis and varicose veins can inhibit blood flow from your legs to the rest of the body. Using compression stockings or bandages, you can facilitate blood movement and correct this problem.

People with Leg Swelling and Discomfort

Although you should see a doctor if you have any chronic swelling of your feet, you may consider compression therapy if you already know the problem. Compression facilitates fluid movement and lymphatic system activity, giving you great relief.

After Surgery

After a surgical operation, blood clots in the veins can occur. This problem can prevent quick healing. Using compression therapy, the doctor can reduce the chances of you getting clots. This procedure will speed up your recovery after an operation.

Venous Issues During Pregnancy

Women who have this problem will have swelling feet and discomfort. With this procedure, they can increase venous blood flow and reduce swelling. Venous drainage is essential in a pregnant woman because it facilitates the drainage of toxins. This procedure can help such women.

Sportspersons

Knocks and injuries can interfere with normal blood flow. Sports conditioning and training coaches use compression therapy to enhance joint movement and motion. They also use compression therapy to prevent swelling after an injury. They use the treatment process during training, too.

Diabetic People

Diabetes can cause low fluid pressure on your body. This condition can affect your limbs specifically your arms and legs. Using compression therapy can facilitate faster venous emptying and consequently reduce swelling and numbness. Compression works by reducing venous volume, which elevates pressure in your veins.
