As you may already know, LATISSE® is an FDA-approved prescription treatment used for getting thicker, longer, and fuller eyelashes. LATISSE® works by stimulating hair growth of the lashes while keeping your hair in its “growth phase.” LATISSE® on its own is an excellent treatment, but with some useful tips, you can get even more out of the product. While there are FDA guidelines and recommendations for optimal use of the product, we also have some suggestions you can follow as well.
1. Choose a different brush. While LATISSE® is an excellent product, patients may find that the brush doesn’t suit their needs for an optimal application. It can be a little too thick for many clients, so we tend to recommend the use of a thinner brush. When you apply LATISSE® with a different brush you can zone in on the specific spot it’s most needed. This will ensure you don’t waste the medication on areas where it’s not needed.
2. Using just one drop of LATISSE® each day will help your bottle go a lot further. Just add one drop to the bottle cap, dip the brush into the bottle cap, then apply to each lid. This will again ensure that no drop gets wasted.
3. You may also find that after applying LATISSE® to the upper lid only, by merely blinking, you can apply LATISSE® to the lower lid. This will make it so extra product doesn’t get used with a secondary application to your lower lid.
4. Always be sure to wipe off LATISSE® from areas such as the outer corner of your eyelids. LATISSE® is such a great product that it can make hair grow anywhere. Not to worry though, only repetitive use on this particular area would make the unwanted hair continue to grow. Good news for the growth of hair where you really want it.
