Taking Care of Your Lashes When Using Latisse

Close up of lady holding hands around her face with dramatically long and dark lashes

There is no doubt that Latisse is the most effective way for someone to achieve lush, long and dark lashes. Although some people may have trouble using the product at first since they’re not used to it, this handy guide contains some very useful and valuable insider tips on ways to take care of and get the most out of your lashes for years to come.

1. Stick to your eyelash care regimen

It’s important to follow up your dose of Latisse daily for about two months to promote eyelash growth and get striking results. It’s not a big issue to miss a day occasionally, but at least make sure to apply Latisse as recommended. Otherwise, the discontinued use of Latisse will eventually return your eyelashes to their original appearance.

2. Clean lashes at bedtime

Wearing mascara is more of a breeze when your lashes are budding, though it’s important to have it all removed before jumping to bed. Waterproof mascara, in particular, can dry out lashes and make them become brittle and more susceptible to breakage.

3. Be careful with the curler

Whether you’re using Latisse or not, frequent use of an eyelash curler or with too much force can put stress on the lashes, which can make them become frail. Make sure to curl before applying mascara and squeeze with gentle, even pressure to prevent the pull of eyelashes.

4. Condition your eyelashes

Just like normal hair, eyelashes can always benefit from some conditioning, too.

With continued use of Latisse along the lash line of the upper part of the eyelid, a person should see a significant growth of longer, thicker and fuller lashes. For full results, make sure to follow the handy tips shared in this guide to take care of your lashes and keep them looking gorgeous for longer.
