A Closer Look at Latisse

Close-up of eye showing Latisse eyelashes and blue eyeshadow

Tired of gluing on false eyelashes before a night out or using countless tubes of mascara? Then Latisse could be the treatment for you. With so many myths and misconceptions floating around about this treatment, we thought it was time these were debunked so that you can get started on your transformative journey to get the long lashes of your dreams.

Latisse is a popular prescription treatment that’s used to increase the length and thickness of eyelashes and help deepen their color. It’s a very safe, effective and popular treatment. Common misconceptions include:

1. Latisse will change the color of my blue eyes

There is no evidence that this treatment affects eye color in any way. The original active ingredient in the product was marketed as a treatment for glaucoma when originally applied directly into the eye, which did sometimes darken hazel eye colors. However, when it’s just applied to the lashes, this doesn’t happen, so no need to worry!

2. Latisse will cause me to go blind

Absolutely not! This treatment does not cause blindness or any impairment to your vision at all. Even if you accidently drip some into your eye, it’s perfectly safe.

3. Latisse will cause hair growth in odd places

Less than 4% of users have reported unusal hair growth, which occurred on their cheeks and just below their eyes. This is a very rare occurrence and only seems to happen when too much solution is applied rather than the recommended dose – less is more!

Latisse has proven effective and safe for lots of satisfied patients and we hope that you now feel ready to make the best decision for you. To find out how Latisse can help with having fuller, darker, longer lashes to boost your confidence, then get in touch with us at Pacific Vein Care in McHenry. Contact us today for a consultation.
